⛏️ WEICON Mining Solutions | Repair of a gravel hopper in a concrete plant
A heavily used gravel hopper required repair after years of continuous service. Originally, the hopper had been lined with PU wear protection mats. Over time, however, moisture and infiltrating material worked their way beneath the lining, causing it to detach from the substrate and no longer provide reliable protection.
For a cost-effective and long-lasting repair, the following steps were carried out:
🔹 Marking the repair area and removing the damaged material
🔹 Removing rust using the Bristle Blaster
🔹 Intermediate and final cleaning with WEICON Industrial Cleaner
🔹 Applying WEICON WR2 over the entire repair area
🔹 After curing, coating the surface with WEICON Ceramic BL
The result: a durable and cost-efficient repair with reliable protection against wear and corrosion – without the need to replace the entire hopper. This minimizes downtime and significantly extends the service life of the equipment 💪.
⛏️ WEICON Mining Solutions | Reparatur eines Einfülltrichters im Betonwerk
Ein stark beanspruchter Einfülltrichter für Kies musste nach jahrelangem Einsatz instand gesetzt werden. Der Trichter war ursprünglich mit PU-Verschleißschutzmatten ausgekleidet. Mit der Zeit wurden diese jedoch durch Feuchtigkeit und eindringendes Material unterwandert, lösten sich vom Untergrund und boten keinen zuverlässigen Schutz mehr.
Für eine wirtschaftliche und langlebige Instandsetzung wurden folgende Arbeitsschritte durchgeführt:
🔹 Flächenmarkierung und Entfernung des beschädigten Materials
🔹 Rostentfernung mit dem Bristle-Blaster
🔹 Zwischen- und Endreinigung mit WEICON Industriereiniger
🔹 Breitflächiger Auftrag von WEICON WR2
🔹 Anschließende Beschichtung mit WEICON Keramik BL nach der Aushärtung
Das Ergebnis: eine dauerhafte, kosteneffiziente Instandsetzung mit zuverlässigem Schutz vor Verschleiß und Korrosion – ganz ohne aufwendigen Austausch des Trichters. So werden Stillstandzeiten reduziert und die Lebensdauer der Anlage nachhaltig verlängert 💪.
