The new horse trailer looks beautiful, shiny and clean – until the first ride. After this first tour, the trailer looks like a three year old one. Mud, rain and other weather conditions are further points that do not support the shiny look and the functionality of the trailer. Soon, small problems appear. The horse trailer is a vehicle with many functions and needs to be maintained. Without maintenance, parts must be replaced after a short time.
Things that do not work
Every owner of a horse knows this. The trouble starts when connecting the trailer to the car. The supporting wheel can’t be cranked up. This is extremely annoying when you are in a hurry. The solution: A few powerful kicks against the wheel and it is done – what an effort!
After this step, the horse had to be loaded. The fight against the tailboard follows. Only in few cases it is easy to open and to close. Not to mention the lateral bars. They can often only be moved very tedious.
Maintenance is important
