In June, it was time again – our entire sales team travelled to our headquarters in Münster. Our big sales meeting at WEICON was coming up. This year’s summer sales meeting took place over two days and there was a lot on the programme for all participants.

Whether they work in the office or in the field, for Germany or the DACH region or our export travellers – all sales employees came together over the two days of the summer sales meeting in Münster. The meeting was held in our large seminar room. It has plenty of space and light to keep everyone focussed. Our Sales Director DACH Patrick Neuhaus and our Sales Director International Vitali Walter hosted the event. They guided everyone through the packed programme. The programme kicked off with information on current events and developments before delving deeper into the subject matter. The highlight of the day was the update from the Plastik-Stahl team. New applications were reported on in detail using photos and videos. The first day officially ended with a barbecue at the WEICON pool.
The second day of the sales meeting started with updates from our other departments at WEICON. This was followed by area presentations from our field service team. At the end everyone got an outlook from the product management and WEICON TOOLS on our new products.
The WEICON summer sales meeting 2024 was a complete success and all employees were able to take away a lot of input and motivation for the second half of 2024!
Why are sales meetings so important?
There is not just one sales meeting a year at WEICON, but two. The summer sales meeting takes place every six months, followed by the winter conference in December. We use the sales meetings to discuss current developments with our sales team. Aswell to analyse the introduction of our new products and to give an outlook on upcoming innovations. Of course, there is also time and space to criticise or make suggestions for improvement – a constructive and open exchange within the entire team is important to us.
This also provides an opportunity for all other departments to present department-specific news and give an outlook on further plans within the department. Conversely, it is just as valuable for our departments to find out whether our sales representatives have further ideas or suggestions from their day-to-day sales activities or where they can be better supported by the back office.

And what traditionally follows every sales meeting at WEICON?
A party, of course! In this case, our big WEICON Summer Party 2024 followed. After two very comprehensive and informative days, everyone was in the mood to celebrate and enjoy a drink or two. Although the changeable weather almost put a spanner in the works this time, nobody let the sometimes heavy rain showers spoil their mood. Under the motto ‘Midsummer’, we celebrated and danced well into the night on the longest day of the year. Another highlight of the evening was the very tasty and generous barbecue buffet.
In a few months’ time, the winter sales meeting 2024 will take place – followed by a WEICON christmas party, which we are really looking forward to!
