In this video we show you, how you can build a Fidget Spinner on your own by using our products.
What you need:
- Gaffa Tape
- 2 cable ties
- 7 bearings (used, of a bike, inline-skates or a skateboard)
- two washers and 5-Cent-coins
- plastic strips or residues of packaging
- WEICON Surface Cleaner
- WEICON Epoxy Minute Adhesive
- WEICON Contact VM 2000
Here you go:
First you have to clean the bearings with WEICON Surface Cleaner. Then you place a ring with the bearings, one in the center. Now fix this ring with the cable ties. Make sure that the cable ties are tight and that none of the bearings can fall out of the ring. Fix the ring on the gaffa tape with light pressure.
Now remove the cable ties and take three of the bearings out of the ring so that you get an equilateral triangle. At the sides of the triangle, you fix the plastic strips or packaging residues on your gaffa tape. To fix the strips better, weight them with something heavy.
Because of the removal of the bearings, now there are gaps. Fill these gaps with the Epoxy Minute Adhesive. The plastic strips work as a mold and ensure smooth edges of your spinner
Before you can continue with the construction of your spinner, the adhesive has to cure for about 12 hours.
After the curing time, take the spinner from the tape. The pouring edges can be removed with a piece of sandpaper or a file.
If you want the spinner to perform better on your finger, you can bond 5 cent coins on top of the bearing. Before bonding – as always – you need to clean the surfaces.
Now open the cyanoacrylate. Carefully apply a thin layer of adhesive to the edge of the bearing. Our WEICON Pen is ideal for this because of its design and the fine dosing tip – similar to Window Color.
Make sure that no adhesive gets into the bearings. Otherwise they will stick and can no longer be moved.
Now bond the washers. Then repeat the procedure with the 5 cent coins.
Your Fidget Spinner is ready now! If you want, you can also color the epoxy resin or use other discs instead of the 5 cent coins.
