Independent project of our apprentices
What would the world be like without any adhesives and glues? What would everyday life look like, when all of a sudden, nothing would stick together anymore? Where are adhesives even being used?
Our apprentices Alex, Kira, Lea, Marcel, Mohamed, Tim and Vivian have tried to answer these questions and brought to life a great video project. From coming up with the idea, creating the storyboard to shooting and editing the video, they were responsible for the whole process and together, they put the idea for the project “Life without adhesives“ into practice.
New edition of “Life without adhesives”
It’s been a few years since Alex, Kira, Lea, Marcel, Mohamed, Tim and Vivian asked themselves these questions. High time for a new video!
Of course, this project was once again realized by our trainees. Our apprentice Paul, media designer for image & sound, worked with the other apprentices to create a new video – from planning to final editing.
Important for job fairs
However, the video has not been published on Youtube or on the apprentices‘ own Instagram account weiconazubis, but will be used mainly for presentations of the different apprenticeships WEICON offers.
Every summer, our team is out and about at the most popular job fairs in and around Muenster. Either at our exhibtion booth or during the “speed-dating“, Jennifer Mersch, who is in charge of their supervision, and the apprentices themselves inform about the different apprenticeship opportunities in our company. To demonstrate in a very vivid way what working in a company producing adhesives looks like and what our products can be used for, “Life without adhesives“ will be shown at every job fair from now on.
Versatile use
Kira and Lea recently used the video as opening for a presentation they gave. As part of the job orientation day at the Ludwig-Erhard Kolleg in Muenster, they presented their apprenticeship in marketing communication.
Meanwhile, our sales team also shows the video at conferences, as opening for product training courses and as sales support for customer meetings.
